Miscarriage and Loss
According to research, there is no causative evidence that exercising while pregnant leads to a miscarriage. That being said, I fully acknowledge the fact that the journey to motherhood is an emotional one. In my sessions, the client is always in charge and will be encouraged to share what they are mentally and physically comfortable with. As a compassionate person, I will always validate your feelings and support your needs!
For the safety of the growing baby my 3 non-negotiables as a trainer include:
-avoiding activities with a high risk of falling
-avoiding exercising in excessive heat
-acknowledging and respecting the perceived exertion level of the mother-to-be
Infertility and IVF
“It is truly so joyful to work with the pre/postnatal population, but I learned early on that there can be numerous sad, scary, disappointing, devastating and heartbreaking moments. My approach to pre/postnatal training is really so much more than just the exercises or the workouts.
Supporting women through exercise while they are dealing with infertility requires a sensitive and individualized approach. I always prioritize both the client’s physical health and their emotional well-being. Exercise can serve as a valuable tool to manage stress and promote overall health during the challenging journey of infertility.
Tailored workouts can help reduce stress levels and enhance relaxation while fostering a sense of mindfulness and self-care. However, it’s crucial to balance exercise intensity to avoid additional stress on the body, particularly if undergoing fertility treatments.
I always strive to create a supportive environment that acknowledges the emotional complexities of infertility. During this phase of life, I view workouts as part of a comprehensive wellness plan that helps empower women to prioritize their health and find a sense of control amidst the uncertainties of their fertility journey. “
